Founded by New Zealander Dick Bennetts in 1981, West Surrey Racing (WSR)  are one of Europe’s most successful racing teams, having tasted success with World Champion drivers such as Ayrton Senna, Mika Hakkinen, Tom Kristensen, Nigel Mansell, Allan McNish and Andy Priaulx.

After becoming the most successful team in the British Formula 3 Championship during the 1980s, WSR moved into the British Touring Car Championship and have continued their extraordinary run of success. As well as running race-winning factory BTCC programmes for Ford, Honda, MG and BMW, WSR have taken 16 outright championship titles – including a record-breaking seven Manufacturers’ titles in a row for BMW from 2016 onwards -, nine independents’ crowns and a record-equalling 132 race victories.

They are also race winners in the FIA World Touring Car Championship. Based in Sunbury-on-Thames, Surrey, WSR currently run Laser Tools Racing with MB Motorsport, LKQ Euro Car Parts Racing with WSR and WSR in the BTCC.

Daryl DeLeon

Aged 19, Daryl is WSR’s youngest driver since 2007 and joins after an impressive rookie season in challenging circumstances. The Anglo-Filipino excelled in Radical sportscars, scoring his first win after just a handful of races, and then took the British Endurance Championship crown in 2023 at his first attempt. He also contests the BTCC’s Jack Sears Trophy in 2025 after finishing third in class with 12 podiums last year.

Jake Hill

The Kent racer has been a revelation since joining WSR in 2022 and taking pole position on his team debut.  Third in the standings in his first two seasons, he achieved his life’s ambition in 2024 by becoming British Touring Car Champion aboard a WSR-run BMW 330e M Sport. For 2025 he carries the coveted #1 on his Laser Tools Racing with MB Motorsport-badged machine as he hunts a second title.

Aiden Moffat

Having made history as the British Touring Car Championship’s youngest driver in 2013, Aiden Moffat has gone on start more than 300 races in the series. He joins LKQ Euro Car Parts with WSR as a five-time race-winner and 15-time podium finisher. He is also one of the small number of drivers to have been victorious in the BTCC in both front and rear-wheel-drive cars.
